Online self help legal service unveils plans which may impact on UK family lawyers
LegalZoom currently provides online legal information (including divorce information) in the US and is said to be planning to launch in the UK in 2012.

Following on from the News about Google’s plans for Rocket Lawyer reported in Family Law Week last week, this is another indication of a move to offer legal information direct to the public.
It remains to be seen how sophisticated such services are when they roll out in the UK and whether they will be limited to self-help, no formal legal advice services and, of course, what steps, if any will be taken in regard to regulation of such services.
