UK – Civil Partnership Act 2004 (Overseas Relationships) Order 2012

On 31 January 2013, the Civil Partnership Act 2004 (Overseas Relationships) Order 2012 came into force. It amends Schedule 20 to the Civil Partnership Act 2004, which specifies overseas relationships that may be treated as civil partnerships for the purposes of the Act, provided certain other conditions in the Act are satisfied.

Article 2 adds 50 relationships to the specified relationships in the table in Schedule 20.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
