Legal Aid Agency guidance released
From 1 July 2013 rollout of the revised Public Law Outline pilot will begin. The Legal Aid Agency states that the changes under the new PLO will not affect the way court bundle payment claims are made under the Family Advocacy Scheme (FAS).
Court bundle payments are claimed in accordance with the Family Specification to the 2013 Standard Civil Contract. In public law cases, court bundle payments cannot be claimed at more than two interim hearings. These must be one of the following:
- Case Management Conference
- Issues Resolution Hearing or
- Hearing listed for the hearing of contested evidence (paragraph 7.151 of the Family Specification).
But now, case management hearings under the Public Law Outline pilot can be added to the list.
