All of BAAF’s services assessed as ‘outstanding’
The British Association for Adoption & Fostering ‘s work as a voluntary adoption agency and adoption support agency in England has been rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in its recent inspection. The agency will be included on Ofsted’s outstanding provider’s list.
BAAF not only received an overall rating of ‘outstanding’, but was also rated ‘outstanding’ in every area that was assessed, recognising the excellence of all services provided by the charity.
Louise Hocking, BAAF’s Director of Child Placement and the Registered Manager of its adoption agency in England said:
“I am delighted that BAAF’s work as a Voluntary Adoption Agency and Adoption Support Agency in England has achieved a result of outstanding in all areas. This reflects the work that the dedicated staff at BAAF undertake and it is great to have their effort and expertise acknowledged in this way.”
Ofsted reported:
“The agency is outstanding in all respects. It is innovative, reflective, self-evaluative and committed to providing services of a very high quality to its member organisations and adoptive families. It puts children at the heart of all it does and is committed to working in partnership with other adoption agencies to improve placement choice for children and prevent delay”.
It went on to say that “BAAF provides outstanding support to adoptive families to enable them to continue to care for their children in stable, appropriate and happy placements”.
David Holmes, BAAF’s Chief Executive and the Responsible Individual for BAAF’s adoption agency in England said:
“I am so pleased that BAAF’s efforts have been recognised in this way. We work hard to make a difference to everyone affected by adoption. I am proud that the contribution of my excellent staff has been so highly commended.”
