Issued by the President of the Family Division following consultation with the Senior Presiding Judge, HMCTS and with the endorsement of the Justices’ Clerks Society.
In April 2011 the President issued his Guidance Bulletin Number 3, Listing and Hearing Care Cases. That Guidance emphasised the principles of judicial continuity and efficient case management and, in the Family Proceedings Court (FPC), the importance of the role of the Justices’ Clerk/Assistant Justices’ Clerk as case manager. The purpose of this Guidance is to set out the expectations on FPCs in relation to the allocation and continuity of case managers and to provide some practical guidance.
