Appointment to the Family Division follows Mr Justice MacFarlane’s elevation to the Court of Appeal
Philip Moor QC has been appointed a Justice of the High Court with effect from 3 October 2011. He will be sworn in on 7 October. The appointment follows the elevation of Mr Justice McFarlane to the Court of Appeal. Mr Moor is to be assigned to the Family Division.
Mr. Moor, 52, who practises from 1 Hare Court, was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in 1982 and took Silk in 2001. He was appointed a Recorder in 2002 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court Judge. In 2004 he served as the Chairman of the Family Law Bar Association.
